Patek Philippe's ultra-thin perpetual calendar in 18k rose gold — the 5140R, successor to the 3940, as a 2014 full set.
On this piece
The Patek Philippe 5140R is a refined example of the manufacture's expertise in complicated watchmaking, combining an ultra-thin automatic movement with one of horology's most prestigious complications. Introduced as the successor to the iconic reference 3940, the 5140 maintained the traditional elegance of Patek Philippe's perpetual calendar collection while introducing a slightly larger 37.2mm case and updated dial design. Powered by the legendary Calibre 240 Q, the watch features a perpetual calendar capable of automatically accounting for varying month lengths and leap years, requiring no calendar correction until the year 2100, provided it remains running. The combination of its warm rose gold case, elegant white dial and slim profile makes the 5140R an exceptionally versatile dress watch. Now discontinued, the reference 5140R remains a highly respected piece among collectors who appreciate Patek Philippe's traditional approach to haute horlogerie.
