Rolex
Yacht-Master 40 — Everose / Oysterflex
The first Rolex on Oysterflex — solid Everose gold case + rubber-overmoulded high-performance bracelet. Re-cast what a precious-metal sports Rolex could be.

On this piece
The 116655 launched in 2015 as the first Rolex to use the brand's then-new Oysterflex bracelet — an elastomer-overmoulded titanium-nickel blade that combines the comfort of rubber with the durability of metal. The reference paired this with a solid 18k Everose gold case and a matte black Cerachrom unidirectional bezel with raised platinum numerals. The combination — gold case, modern rubberised bracelet — was deliberately divisive at launch and has aged into one of the most discreetly luxurious Rolex configurations in production. The calibre 3235 inside is the same workhorse that powers the modern Submariner and Datejust.
